I met Shawn when I was working in Trinidad and Tobago (a Caribbean nation made up of two islands separated by a narrow sea lane). Shawn was living at an AIDS orphanage "The Cyril Ross Home" on Trinidad where he was the oldest resident. It was mostly inhabited by babies and young children whose parents gave them HIV/AIDS at birth (and in Shawn's case, abandoned him in the hospital at birth. I was most impressed with him. Check out his video clip. You'll be surprised that he is only 16! I look forward to reading his report when he sends it in.

i got your message today and i am welling to write a story about me life . i tool miss. cross which is the dircter of the cyril ross home about , what i am about to do and she ageed. so.... can you gave me sometime to complete my story ? i phoned someone who was your family. i think your coucin .i believe she is in trinidad . in my country, we call it form , not grade, so i am in form two . i was admireing that you do nt get paid for doing this . i can see you are tring to reach the young people out their . keep doing the good stoff because i do not look forward to be paid . you and i are going to be bless for doing this .i wish i could write more but i have to wash my dishes good to hear from you .
