Subject: Hello from a brazilian girl!
Dear Dr. John,
I don't know if you'll remember me 'cause it's been a long time since we met. I'm Camila, from Brazil, a girl who helped you at your speeches. I was with my mum and we went to a few diferent schools... Anyway, I hope everything is fine with you and your work. I'm so sorry not to write you before, but since 2000 my life changed a lot! (Including my e-mail, that's why I lost every adress that I had) Then a few days ago I was cleaning my bedroom and I found your postcard in my wardrobe. I was happy that I could be able to contact you again! I hope you can forgive me someday...
Well, things here in Brazil are nice. I'm at university doing journalism course. But last year I stopped studying to go to the USA and improve my
english. Then, there were those terrorist attacks and I had to come back.
My mum called me crying that she wanted me home! I spent 3 months there
and I had a really nice time!
Now, I went back to study and I might move to Europe by the end of the
year to finish my studies over there. Maybe we can meet there at some
point! I'd love to talk to you again someday! You really taught me the
most important things I've ever learn and for sure you are a person that
I will never forget!
Hope you can answer me if you have time and I'll be waiting you here in
Rio again, or who knows, in Europe next year!
Kisses from your brazilian friend,
CAMILA BRAZ

Hi Dr. John!!!
I was extremely happy to get your postcard! It was a great surprise and it really made my day!
As I could see, you're still doing your wonderful job in America! That's great! My family is all right, thanks. My mum, brother and sister said "Hello". They were happy to know about you and are waiting for you to come to Rio
again!
Well, my life changed a lot since last time we talked... I'm now married to a swedish guy named Martin, living in Stockholm - Sweden for 3 years, with a 2 month-old daughter called Emily! Big changes!!!
I'm extremely happy here, but I miss my family a lot. I don't know if you remember my mother Beth, my sister JĂșlia and my brother Igor. They quite often talk about you! But beside the weather, I really like living here and Sweden is a great place to raise a child!
My parents came here right after Emy was born. My mum then brought your postcard with her, which was a great surprise!
Anyway, if you're coming to northern Europe, don't hesitate to contact me! I'll be more than happy to help you in anyway I can!
I'm sending you some pictures of us, our daughter and my parents. Hope you like it... Keep up with the great work and being the wonderful person you are!
With love,
Camila
