Andrew is originally from Syracuse, NY. He attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Cornell University, where he graduated with honors in mathematics. During his undergraduate study, he worked on research on dynamical systems and number theory, which he published in the physics journal Nonlinearity. He is also an avid chess player with a rating of 1900. In January of 2005, he will be joining the Peace Corps as a health volunteer in Honduras. He currently lives in Massachusetts with his wife Emily.
