Global Advisory Council
Drack Bonhomme
Untitled Document

I was born in Fond-des-Blancs, a village in the southern countryside of Haiti. My sister, Danias Beauport, and I were orphaned when our mother, Dalise Bonhomme, died in 1992. Only eight years old, I struggled to receive an education. Benefactors from the United States enabled me to stay in school, and eventually to enroll in the Academie Nationale Diplomatique et Consulaire in Port-au-Prince, where I now major in Diplomacy. I expect to earn my degree in 2008. I have recently served as president of Jeunes Actifs de Fond-des-Blancs, an AIDS awareness group, and I remain an active member. When visiting Fitchburg and American friends, I met Dr. John and wanted to help get the word out to Haitian youth. I accepted the invitation to join the TeenAIDS' Global Advisory Council in 2007. I will be active in the worldwide webcasts.

I am also the Mission Liaison of Haitian Outreach, a US-Haitian cooperative charitable organization. Upon graduation from the Academie, I hope to work toward a Masters degree in Diplomacy at a top American university. My ambition is someday to serve as President of Haiti.
