I am Aurora F. Malayas, widow and devoted mother to 5 grown up children. Four years ago my husband died of Renal failure due to Diabetes and hypertension. I am a Certified Public Accountant and working here in the House of Representatives as Management analyst. I met Dr. John while we were on vacation in Baguio sometime in November, 1997. My late husband was full of admiration on his Global Walks. Since then, we keep on exchanging letters and emails until last year he asked me if I could join the foundation as member of the Board. I readily accepted the invitation as I want to help him in anyway I can. Dr. John is such a marvelous person, dedicating hiis life on the road to save millions of people from AIDS.

Aurora Malayas is our Global Board member from the Philippines.  In 2005 she visited Dr. John and TeenAIDS in Fitchburg coming from Manila. Her cousin and his daughter drove her up from New Jersey.  Dr. John's mother (then 90 years old) looks on with Marisete DePaula, her caregiver.
