Paula Gill Alexander


Paula is the longest serving Board Member of TeenAIDS, since its inception in 1997. She served as Acting Board President from 2002 to 2003.
Paula is life-long advocate for populations at risk, "from kinder care to elder care, she says but "with a specialization in adolescent adjustment." She is an educational consultant who has worked with teenagers at risk in school settings and served as an ombudsman with the Massachusetts Elder Services.

She is the mother of two sons; one of whom is currently serving in the Middle East with US Army. Her youngest child Scott is a former PeerCorps trainee, who is working as a quartermaster for an engineering corps whose mission to rebuild Iraq.

Paula lives with her husband, Russell W. Alexander, in a home with its own windmill with wildlife as neighbors. Every evening, three foxes visit their yard on their rounds. She has long been involved with antiques and art, and currently serves as a "docent" at Rhode Island School of Design's Museum in Providence.



Her son, Scott Alexander, was a Peercorps volunteer before he served in the National Gaurd in Kuwait and is now married to his wife Brittany with a child, Quentin.
