My name is Harold Mateo, a former student PeerCorps member from the original group that Dr. John pioneered in 1998 at Fitchburg High School, in Fitchburg, Massachusetts. I’ve had the pleasure to work with Dr. John through TeenAIDS-PeerCorps and also to be one of his mentees.

My family is from the Dominican Republic. I have three younger sisters that are being raised by my hero, my mother Ana Mateo. Currently I reside in both New York and Massachusetts, due to my work schedule.

I am presently working at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP (PwC) in our Advisory Services Practice in New York. I have worked with PwC since I began to intern for the firm’s Boston Office in 2002, while at Bentley College. My specialty is in Financial Services with a background in Anti-Money Laundering.

In addition, I have a passion for Real Estate investing. Currently I am a Licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and am now working to obtain my Broker’s License.

I have had the pleasure an honor to study at Cushing Academy, Phillips Exeter Academy, Fitchburg High School, Bentley College, and the Harvard Business School Summer Venture in Management Program.

I’m a big fan of the American Dream, and believe that with hard work, a positive attitude, and great group of mentors anything is possible.

For me it is a pleasure to be a member of the Board of Directors because the work that this organization does and represents is priceless.
