Andrew J. Merin is Executive Vice President of the Metropolitan Area Financial Services Group and a member of C&Wís Board of Directors. Mr. Merin is responsible for FSG activity in Northern New Jersey, New York City, Long Island, Westchester and Fairfield Counties. Mr. Merin joined C&W in 1983 and subsequently joined FSG in 1987 after an 18-year career as an office-leasing specialist.

Since 1992, the Metropolitan Area FSG team has closed in excess of $6 billion of sale transactions including $4 billion of office, $650 million of industrial and $500 million of retail.

In 2000, Mr. Merin's FSG team won the NAIOP Creative Deal of the Year award for their 1999 sale of the former Mutual Benefit Headquarters Building (444,180 square feet) in Newark to the Kushner Companies and subsequent lease up of the entire building to IDT. In 2001, the team won the same award for the sale of Novartis Pharmaceuticals 1.8-million-square-foot office and research campus. Andrewís most notable transaction in 2002 was the sale of AT&Ts 1,300,000 square foot headquarters campus in Basking Ridge, New Jersey to Pharmacia Corporation and in 2003, the $147,515,000 sale of MetroPark Office Center in Woodbridge.

Mr. Merin has been the recipient of a number of C&W's highest honors including Leading Financial Services Group Brokerage Professional in 1994 through 1998, and in 2002-2003. In 1997, he received the Leone J. Peters Award, naming him as C&W's leading brokerage professional in that year. In 2001, Mr. Merin also received C&Wís national Quality Service Award.
